Cognition Lab

Cognition Lab is the Cognitive Science Collegium's shared research facility, designed to support a wide range of experimental studies of human cognition, behaviour, neural and physiological processes.

 About the lab 

The Cognition Lab offers a controlled research environment for collecting behavioral and physiological data. Used primarily by Cognitive Science Collegium staff and students of Cognitive Science, but may also be available for other research activities upon request. 

Equipment 

The lab is equipped with:

  • Eye tracking  - for measuring visual attention and gaze patterns
  • EEG (electroencephalography) - for measuring brain activity 
  • Skin conductance - for assessing stresses and physiological arousal 
  • Heart Rate - for monitoring autonomic responses

Location

The Cognition Lab is located on the 6th floor of the Natrium building at Medicinaregatan 7B, 413 90 Göteborg

Basic training is provided to help users work safely and effectively in the lab. This may include:

To ensure a safe and professional environment, all users are expected to:

  • Book the lab in advance and respect scheduled times
  • Handle equipment carefully and follow instructions
  • Leave the lab tidy after use
  • Report any technical issues immediately
  • Ensure that all studies follow ethical guidelines
